Bias dictates it's my favorite city in the world. If I'm honest, there are better cities (lookin at you Tokyo), but this one is mine. I grew up on Bozo the Clown, Veruca Salt, The Alley when it was the whole neighborhood, and serving coffee at Lenny's - Denny's - Denny's. This work is for you. Because you didn't just visit—you breathed Chicago in until you were high on its bricks, its grit, and its beautiful, messy heart.
